Martinson Arnan named senior vice president of Bronson Healthcare

KALAMAZOO, MI – Dr. Martinson Arnan, MD, MS, MPA, FAAN, has served as senior vice president and chief physician executive for Bronson Health System. Dr. Arnan brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role, having previously served as chief clinical officer for Bronson Medical Group and vice president of community health development for Bronson Healthcare.

As senior vice president and chief physician executive, Dr. Arnan will provide strategic direction and oversight for clinical care, business operations, quality and safety across the regional system. This includes acute care, employment and ancillary medical practices, ambulatory care, post-acute care, clinical programs and clinical ancillary support services.

Additionally, he will serve as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including system administrators, medical staff, nursing leadership, affiliated institutions and strategic partners. Dr. Arnan is an active member of the Bronson Allied Health team and serves on the faculty in the Department of Medicine, Homer Stryker, M.D., Western Michigan University School of Medicine.

Dr. Arnan initially joined the Bronson Neuroscience Center in 2015 as a vascular neurologist and has since served in a variety of leadership roles, demonstrating his commitment to clinical and administrative excellence. His previous positions include chief of neurology, medical director of the Bronson Comprehensive Stroke Center, and associate director of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Notably, during his tenure as Chief Clinical Officer of Bronson Medical Group, the business achieved significant milestones with more than 1 million annual patient visits and a patient satisfaction rate of over 90%, exceeding the national average.

In terms of education, Dr. Anan earned a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School through the prestigious Zuckerman Fellowship. He completed his medical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard University, followed by a neurology residency and fellowship in vascular neurology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Clinical and Population Translational Sciences from Wake Forest University.
