Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman provided reassurance regarding King Salman’s health during a cabinet meeting, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency. The king underwent medical examinations at royal clinics at Al-Salam Palace after experiencing a high temperature and joint pain. Subsequently diagnosed with lung inflammation, he received prescribed treatment, including a course of antibiotics, at the palace in Jeddah.
In addition to addressing the king’s health, the crown prince briefed the council on the outcomes of the Arab League Summit. He underscored the Kingdom’s dedication to Arab issues, collaborative development initiatives, regional security enhancement, and the protection of Arab interests.
Following the session, Minister of Information Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari affirmed that the council discussed recent state activities, with a focus on bolstering regional and international cooperation. Emphasizing the Kingdom’s commitment to combatting money laundering, terrorist financing, and corruption, the council underscored its dedication to international cooperation in these areas.
Moreover, the Saudi cabinet authorized Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman to finalize a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan on energy cooperation. Additionally, the cabinet approved the Kingdom’s accession to an international agreement concerning wetlands of international significance, particularly as habitats for waterbirds.
