Teddi Mellencamp, former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has revealed that doctors have discovered multiple brain tumors. She shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, explaining that she had been struggling with severe headaches for weeks. The pain was so intense that she was hospitalized on Tuesday.
After undergoing a CT scan and an MRI, Mellencamp was told by doctors that the tumors had likely been growing for at least six months. She announced that she would have surgery on Wednesday to remove two of the tumors, while the remaining ones would be treated with radiation therapy.
Despite the serious diagnosis, Mellencamp appeared to be in good spirits before her surgery. She posted videos of herself getting a pre-operation haircut, joking, “I didn’t have this look on my bucket list,” as her head was shaved.
Mellencamp also shared moments with her friends and family, including Kyle Richards, her former Real Housewives co-star, who was at her side before the surgery.
In 2022, Mellencamp was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma and has been undergoing treatment to remove the skin cancer. Her most recent procedure, the 16th removal, took place in September, according to People.
Mellencamp, daughter of rock singer John Mellencamp, appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for three seasons before her departure. She now co-hosts a podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, with Tamra Judge from The Real Housewives of Orange County.
