by Shreeya

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard suffered a torn left Achilles tendon during Game 4 of their playoff series against the Indiana Pacers, ending his 2025 season and putting his 2025-26 season in doubt.

The injury happened early in the first quarter when Lillard went down after tipping the ball to a teammate and grabbing his lower left leg. An MRI confirmed the severity on Monday.

Lillard, 34, had just returned from a serious blood clot in his right calf that sidelined him for the last 14 regular-season games. His recovery was remarkable, but now he faces a long rehab that typically takes 8 to 12 months, meaning he could miss the start of next season.
