One such initiative is Project Commune, a joint project with CNC, Ltd., aimed at supporting community nurses in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Malaysia, and Brazil to address social and mental health challenges.
Project Commune focuses on promoting social health and mental well-being by fostering community connections through the work of community nurses. These nurses, inspired by the concept of “Community Nursing,” play a crucial role in addressing various social issues and promoting preventive healthcare. The Community Nurse Initiatives under Project Commune encompass a range of health-related initiatives for local residents in Japan and support the activities of community nurses globally. These initiatives address several social issues, including sustainable social security systems, delay in disease diagnosis without medical check-ups, and social isolation among the elderly. Community nurses work closely with local communities to enhance health, encourage early disease detection, and combat social isolation, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes and quality of life for individuals.
