by Shreeya

Rebecca Slifkin, PhD, and Larry Goldberg, MBA, have been appointed as Executives in Residence for the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Gillings School. Their extensive real-world experience will enrich student learning through teaching, advising, and mentoring activities. As Executives in Residence, they will contribute to guest lectures, advise case competition teams, identify curriculum opportunities, engage with alumni, and bridge the gap between the department’s programs and industry needs.

Dr. Slifkin, a professor emeritus in the Department of Health Policy and Management, brings a wealth of experience from her tenure in the United States Senior Executive Service, where she directed the Office of Planning, Analysis, and Evaluation within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). She played a key role in Affordable Care Act implementation and led HRSA’s outreach and enrollment efforts.
