Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS), HealthFirst Bluegrass, and UnitedHealthcare have joined forces to launch a mobile clinic initiative this summer in Lexington, Kentucky. The mobile clinic will operate from June 10 to July 27, visiting 16 locations across the FCPS network.
The primary objective of this mobile clinic is to provide free preventive healthcare services to K-12 students, irrespective of their insurance status. Services offered will include check-ups, sports physicals, and immunizations, all aimed at ensuring that students are healthy and prepared for the upcoming school year.
While walk-ins are welcome, priority will be given to those with scheduled appointments. This initiative aims to increase accessibility to essential healthcare services for students during the summer break, addressing potential barriers such as transportation or scheduling conflicts.
Community members interested in learning more about the mobile clinic or scheduling an appointment can contact 859-288-2425 for further information. This collaboration underscores a commitment to supporting the health and well-being of students within the Fayette County Public Schools system, enhancing overall community health through accessible healthcare initiatives.
