Ogilvy Health has announced the appointment of Sofia Beccarelli as a key player in their Asian planning operation. Beccarelli will be instrumental in driving the growth of Ogilvy Health’s client portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region. She will also collaborate with in-market teams to strategically and creatively expand healthcare communications.
Pierre Robinet, President of Ogilvy Health in the Asia-Pacific region, emphasized the significance of Beccarelli’s role. “In today’s healthcare landscape, deep expertise across therapeutic areas and health marketing is critical for driving successful healthcare brand transformations,” Robinet said. “Sofia’s leadership and experience further strengthen our regional team.”
Beccarelli’s career began at Publicis LifeBrands in London, where she advanced to the role of junior planner. Her success continued at Langland, where she contributed to a Bronze Cannes Lion-winning Johnson & Johnson campaign. In 2022, she relocated to Singapore to serve as a senior planner at the independent creative healthcare agency Ward6. Her new role at Ogilvy keeps her based in Singapore.
Ogilvy Health attributes recent business momentum in the Asia-Pacific region to the acquisition of modern talent and diversification of services. The focus on applied behavioral science, data, and technology has been pivotal in adapting to changes in the healthcare environment.
Beccarelli’s appointment follows notable hires at Ogilvy’s U.S. operation. Renata Maia was named chief creative officer, while Christianna Gorin and Nadine Lafond took on roles as chief growth and strategy officer and client engagement officer, respectively.
