Equipd Allied Health to Manage Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub with Enhanced Services

The Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub is set to reopen its doors to the community starting August 1, 2024, offering a comprehensive array of clinical services tailored for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) members. Managed by the new provider, Equipd Allied Health, the hub will also introduce gym and wellbeing services from September 1, 2024.

The ACT Government has invested significantly in upgrading the facility, allocating over $470,000. This includes $350,000 for a variety of training, strength and conditioning equipment, and $123,000 for enhancements like a new clinical treatment room, all-purpose gym flooring, and improved infrastructure.

Equipd Allied Health is committed to providing dedicated services aimed at enhancing community members’ wellbeing, catering to individuals of all abilities. Specialized allied health care will be available for Canberrans with health conditions, impairments, chronic pain, or rehabilitation needs.

From August 1, 2024, members of the Hub can access improved clinical services featuring a new treatment room and state-of-the-art testing and exercise equipment suitable for NDIS and DVA participants. Gym services, reopening on September 1, will offer upgraded cardiovascular training equipment, pin-loaded weights, free weights, balance balls, and yoga accessories.
